Dylan Frittelli shot a 5-under-par 67 and Julio Vegas a 69 as the top-ranked Texas golf team moved from fourth to second after the third round of the Big 12 tournament in Trinity on Saturday.
The Longhorns trail Texas A&M by nine strokes entering today?s final round.
Frittelli, ranked second in the country, had the day?s best score and remained in second place at 4 under, two strokes behind Abraham Ancer of Oklahoma.
Vegas double-bogeyed the final hole and is 2 over, tied for ninth with teammate Jordan Spieth (75).
